I have had a large number of people contact me because they are upset. They are upset because it seems some bloggers either aren't posting their comments or are posting them then deleting them if someone else doesn't like what has been said.

By now, most of you know that I post everything except those which YOU the reader specifically ask me not to post or which I perceive as a direct attack on an individual. Although, I do make an exception to those which attack me. I do post those....attack me all you want. Keep up the threats and the harassing phone calls for as long as you like. I have never allowed that type of behavior to silence me when I believe I am right, and at the age of 53, it is highly unlikely I will change. Based upon comments I have received, it puts me in pretty good company to be so challenged. I really don't care whether you are anonymous or not. What I care about it your right to SAY IT!!!!

A good blog should be like a community meeting. There should be room for discussion and debate. There should be a willingness to accept criticism as will as complements. There are people out there who agree with me, disagree with me, or just simply have a different viewpoint from mine. I learn from each and every comment that comes in to me. My views are not the only views. They are not always right, nor are they always wrong. They are simply my views.

I learned a long time ago, that when it comes to human interactions and the exchange of ideas, it is far better to take the position that there is no "right or wrong" of any single situation, there is only different. I have the greatest respect for those who speak up, whether they agree with me or not.

So, here is my idea for today. If you have an idea/thought that you want to express, send it in. There is no set subject. As long as it is not a direct attack, I will post it. I may even set up a new webpage where these can be posted. Remember that it doesn't have to be critical of anything. It can be merely a different approach to solving an old problem. It can be a complement, or it can be a question. It doesn't matter so long as you speak up.

A "free" society depends upon the free exchange of  ideas. Censorship is a malignancy with dire consequences for freedom.

In a democracy, each and every voice is important! Where is yours?
