Reading the Meeting Minutes of Planning Commission and Town Council or reading the various newspaper articles, blogs, etc., often only present a part of the overall picture. Councilman Mike Barber bring this into clarity by some of the comments he offers on a recent blog article:

Multiple Kudos......

I almost stopped the comments on this one because comments seemed to be getting off topic. Now, I am very glad I did not do so. The questions and responses received show exactly how important it is to keep people informed. Town Council Members do not have the time to give each and every individual all of the details of how decisions are made and what resources were used to make those decisions.

Mr. Barber should start his own blog or perhaps a newsletter that discusses issues. This will allow for more information to be available to the citizens. Because we are all unique individuals, what is trivial to one may be crucial to another. The more information people have, the more likely they are to find a reason to get behind the project and support it.

Kudos to Mike Barber and to each of you who chose to comment and/or ask questions. I hope this kind of dialog keeps going forward. I cannot speak for anyone else, but I have certainly learned a lot
