A recent comment addressed the issue of how to send Town Council Members emails. One of the things noticeably missing from the Town's existing website is any list of email addresses for Town Council Members. This is the information I provided the reader (it can be used for Planning Commissioners also):

"I'm afraid that is one of the things missing on the Town's current webpage. I tried previously to contact members and could not find email addresses for them. It would perhaps be feasible to email them c/o Assn't. to Town Manager Adam Carpenetti at: acarpenetti@christiansburg.org  since according to the webpage he is in charge of town code, long range planning, and legal issues. Or, Planning Director Randy Wingfield at:rwingfield@christiansburg.org. Or, Town Manager, Lance Terpenny at: tmanager@christiansburg.org. If it were me, I would send the letter out to all of them asking specifically that the Town Council members be provided with a copy of the email in printed form. If you don't want to go to all that trouble, consider a letter to the editor, most of the Town Council Members read those or hear about them."

Additionally, you may want to call the Council Member(s) and let him/her/them know that you have sent an email or call later to verify they received it. Many email programs also allow you to set up receipt for when the email was received. This will provide you with date and time of receipt or sever to warn you should someone be out of their office (even public employees get vacations).

Hope this will help one or two people get the messages out that they want to get out.
Have a great day! (Also, please note that I do have some addresses that were given to me privately but I will not release them here. I will invite any Town Council member to please send me an email address and I will post it here if you like. I can even include that information on my Author Recommends Menu.)
