Conversation on "What are some of the crucial issues this campaign?"

Well if there was a real newspaper around these parts, maybe people would know. Instead we get sappy restaurant reviews, pictures of puppies and supposed sports columns from the buddies of the guy who is running (ruining) the Current. No investigative reporting, no probing questions. These are the issues folks and they define Christiansburg. The saddest thing is we get the government we deserve. To me this is directly tied to the poor quality education available and a lack of jobs other than restaurants or retail. All the talent leaves and the dregs are what is left. In real estate? Sell now. The price will never get better than yesterday. Have kids? Teach them at home. Even if you're not the sharpest tool, you can do better than what they receive at cost somewhere else. Sorry but it is true.

I've had a minor plumbing need and can't get a plumber to the house. Why? Too few of them and they are busy with sewage issues in Christiansburg. It may be time for a class action suit against the town to get them to take care of the infrastructure. We know traffic and roads is beyond this management team, but sewage?
