Do you know of a source to get paper maps, FREE would be nice, for current county roads? I've asked at the County annex for a few years and didn't get any help.
I really don't know of any good (and accurate) free sources of county roads. The Planning Dept. at the County Office Building would be to check for the best one. The County Atlas is available online for free and you can print off available at: http://www.montva.com/departments/plan/atlas.php. I've used this quite a bit and print out sections as needed. The GIS department can produce maps with special features and such and the cost is not more than the cost of production.

Check at a local realty office. May not be exactly correct, but many businesses purchase advertising on county maps (with the two towns and Radford on flip side) and offer them for free. Realty offices seem to have a good supply and the Montgomery County chamber is another resource to check with.
Sorry, I should have mentioned those. I am so use to dealing with maps that include voting districts, parcel information, etc. that I forget about regular road maps. I also frequently break down the online maps into smaller sections, blow them up and set up a 4' by 4' or larger display to look at things. My thanks to you Anonymous.
