I listened and this is outrageous! Who was that person telling the elected officials what to do? Why doesn't the town tape meetings like CSPAN or the county? What doesn't this person understand about government by the people, for the people? Is the town following the law, or not? What is going on that this person apparently does not want people to know? And who are "women" he's afraid of? Christiansburg needs to be rid of "that one" now.
As to who the person was that was speaking, I recommend you contact the Planning Commission to find out. Or the Town Council members that you voted for. Since there was no direct action taken and it was just a discussion, I am unaware of any laws that would have been broken. As to who the "women" are...well, I only know that I am the only one recording meetings, posting public documents and posting to this blog. So, I think I can safely assume that I am one of the perceived threats. As to who the others are, no specific names were mentioned....so we'll just have to guess or ask Planning Commission/Town Council to obtain some clarification.

How in the world do these last issues pertain to landuse? That is what the Planning Commission is suppose to be addressing. Not law enforcement like the parking stuff. Not background checks for child care facilities (the state seems to do that quite well already). They need to focus on their job not on everyone else's.

Interesting things to light? After listening to this (twice to make sure I understood it all) I think it sounds like something needs to crawl back under a rock where its nice & dark.

No wonder Hollywood doesn't need script writers anymore. You can't make this kind of stuff up and it is better than a soap opera or daytime talk show.

Please come to the Town Council meeting tonight at 7:30, 2nd floor, Town Hall. And, the Planning Commission meetings are always amusing. Wear your clown nose to either, you'll fit right in.
